About PETSAppeal

In 2004, I searched everywhere for software that could run my grooming salon and boarding kennels from anywhere—whether I was in the salon, at the kennels, or working from home. The options were limited: one program might handle grooming, another boarding, but nothing did it all. With nearly two decades of software development behind me, I made a decision: if the right tool didn't exist, I'd build it.

That first version—a Microsoft Access desktop app with a cloud database—worked beautifully. Over the years, as my business grew, so did the software. When I sold the business, the new owner kept using it. That little app is still running today, more than twenty years later.

I never planned to share PETSAppeal beyond my own walls. In 2010, I considered making it web-based, but as a solo developer running multiple businesses, I simply didn't have the bandwidth. The idea went dormant—until early 2025, when AI changed everything.
